In Republican races, Thomas Johnson defeated Michael\u00a0Roney\u00a0for Coffey County Sheriff; incumbent Angie Kirchner\u00a0defeated Stella Eccles in the County Clerk race; Richard Croll\u00a0won a four-way race against incumbent\u00a0treasurer\u00a0Karen\u00a0Maley, Laura Hawkins and Stella Eccles; incumbent Don Meats defeated Christine Williams\u00a0in the race for Coffey County Commissioner in District 2, and Jesse Knight defeated Randy Miller in the commission race for District 3.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"s3\">\u200bThe Kansas House &#8211; 76th District was won by incumbent Eric Smith, Burlington, with 69 percent of all district votes, over Robert Harmon, Osage City.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"s3\">\u200bWhile Coffey County favored incumbent Bruce Givens over Michael\u00a0Fagg\u00a0in the Kansas Senate \u2014 14th District race, 1,271-1,022,\u00a0Fagg\u00a0upset Givens districtwide with 54 percent of the votes.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"s3\">\u200bCoffey\u00a0Countians\u00a0cast 2,317 ballots out of 6,079 registered voters for a 38.11 percent turnout.
